She was born 24 October 1863 in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to John and Mary Keesey. She was the eigth of nine children. She married Edgar Farmer Wilson 27 March 1879 in Kosciusko County. She and Edgar had seven children: Elnor E. Wilson (1880-1896), Myrtle Viola Wilson (1881-1958), Chloe Adella Wilson (1883-1952). Lester Earl Wilson (1885-1952), William Preston Wilson (1887-1936), Merle Emmerson Wilson (1889-1952) and Herbert Elson Wilson (892-1946). Edgar Farmer Wilson was the brother of James Robert Wilson the grandfather of Miriam Elaine Grasz Field to whom this website is dedicated. All of Florence's children were cousins of Tressa Wilson Grasz (Miriam's mother). Edgar died in March of 1879 and in 1907 Florence married Samuel Beber and from that time on was known as "Grandma Beber." Samuel had been married to Barbara Ann Clink and they had four children, Harley, Luella, Charlie and John.

For many years Grandma Beber had both Keesey and Wilson Reunions. She seemed to work hard to keep the family together.

The photo above was taken in 1905 not long after Edgar had died but before Florence married Samuel Beber.

For many old photos we do not have complete identification of all the people in the photo. For this one we are fortunate to know the name of every person. The photo was give to us by Deborah Wilson Miller and Donald Herbert Wilson the great grandchildren of Florence and Edgar Farmer Wilson. The people in the photo were identified by Paul Elson Wilson Deborah and Don's father.

[home|wilson|album]
