A unique family owned bookstore tucked away on a back road in Elkhart, Indiana. The Bookworm offers a huge variety of used books, mostly paperbacks, with a selection of best sellers. It also has a interesting collection of kites and banners. There is a smattering of antiques and other one of a kind gifts.

The store is owned and operated by Karol Phillips a native of the area. Karol maintains an atmosphere of small town friendliness and warmth. She throughly enjoys working with her patrons and makes them feel at home and welcome. Karol ran the store with her mother, Rae Ellen Field Wenger for many years. Karol is a direct descendant of Abraham Field of Westmoreland County, Virginia, the most distant ancestor of this family history.

A walk through the store is a fun adventure and the chances are you just might find that book you have been wanting to read or that unique item you have been looking for for yourself or the gift for that person who is not so easy to buy for. Just talking to Karol is worth a visit to the Bookworm.
