Pansy and Ralph were grandchildren of Lorenzo H. Turner and Cynthia Ann Field. Laura was Annie Laurie Field, daughter of Henry Clinton Field and Rachel Amelia Knaub. Henry was a grandson of Keen Field and Anna Lewis. The parents of Rachel were Norman Keith Knaub and Caroline A. McCartney.

This stone is possibly Martha Wilhite, wife of John William Field. The death date is possibly wrong.

Woodson Wilhite/1848-1878

Woodson is the son of Jefferson Willhite and Nancy D. Blythe. Nancy was the second wife of Keen W. Field.

Joseph Duncan/Co. D 33 Ill. Inf

Relationship unknown. There is a a possible relationship to Judy and Sarah Duncan who were sisters and the wives of Keen W. Field.

      Keen Field and Anna Lewis moved into Gibson County, Indiana, sometime in 1799. (then Knox County) They had three children, Abraham, Elizabeth and Benjamin R. Seven more were born in Gibson County, Cynthia, Joseph Riley, Stephen Lewis, Thomas Withers, Reuben R., Ezekiel and Keen Wither, Jr. The families of Keen and Anna were from Virginia. Detailed information about Keen and Anna can be found elsewhere on this website.

      Most of the people for whom we have tombstone inscriptions from Gibson, Elkhart, Porter and Vigo Counties, Indiana, Greene and Shelby Counties, Illinois, are descendants of Keen and Anna. Those from Culpeper County, Virginia were ancestors or relatives of ancestors of Keen.

      When known, we have shown the relation of each person to Keen and Anna.
